EDINBURGH WALKING TOURS
The most beautiful city in the world, naturally I am bias toward
my home city.

You may not think it is, but one thing 99% of tourists agree 'it is one of the most beautiful' and what better way to see it than by walking.

Edinburgh is a very compact city but remember it is built on hills.

Coaching is an excellent way to get an orientation of the city but walking allows you to explore many many parts missed by coaches.

The eerie closes and wynds which make up a great part of the old city cannot be seen by coach tours, also commentary on coach tours is influenced by the speed of the coach, you can only tell a tiny proportion of the history, culture, and ghost stories which can be brough to life on a walking tour.

Visit and photograph Greyfriars Bobby's  statue and  his grave, also the grave of his master Jock Gray where Bobby lay day and night for fourteen years.

Walking tours for a half day concentrate on the old city, to see the new town as well you would need a full day
AIRPORT MEET AND GREET

We all know airports can be stressful places in any country.

"Welcome to Scotland"

A personal greeting as soon as you set foot in the country makes visitors feel at home and secure in the knowledge that they do not have to hunt for the taxi park, the coach park etc.

The stress of traveling soon disappears as they know you are there to help  with any questions or problems they may have and to escort them to their hotel.
FILM CREWS
"NOT LONG ENOUGH", "HAVE GOT TO COME BACK"
"I'VE BEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD ON SHOOTS AND SCOTLAND JUST TAKES MY BREATH AWAY"

The above are comments I get all the time escorting film crews around Scotland.

Itineraries are thrown out the window as I take film crews not only to the popular spots but to the hidden beauties of this fantastic country.

Recent film work was for "Don't Forget Your Passport" for Canadian Television to be broadcast about May 2002.
CONFERENCE AND INCENTIVE
WORK
Edinburgh is fast becoming a popular destination for conferences
due to the reputation of our many centres, paticularly The Edinburgh International Conference Centre and the Heriot Watt Centre.

On talking to delegates at conferences they say the facilities are the best they have seen, that coupled with the beauty of the city make for a perfect conference.

Edinburgh is suited to incentive groups as you are never far away from the best golf courses in the world also the attractions and scenery in and within a days travel from the city are second to none for the non golfers.

I have vast experience working with all types of business groups.
HOSPITALITY DESKS
ITINERARY ADVICE
TOUR MANAGER FOR U.K.
AND IRELAND (NORTH AND SOUTH)
Dedicated hospitality desks are a must for any large group of guests
especially conference and incentive.

The concierges are great but they are often busy with other guests.

Again I have a vast experience of  hospitality desks and looking after guests needs.
While I am a qualified guide for Scotland I have also worked in England, Wales and Ireland for 15 years as a tour manager.

A tour manager is a  few  steps below a guide he or she should have a very good  knowledge of the country visited without being an expert.

In fact as I found out tour managing can often be a more stressful job than a guide.

So I can work in the above countries and give advice on the them.

The times I have had to completely re-arrange itineraries is countless

Some people look at a map and say "it's only 100 miles a couple of hours will do  "OH NO NOT IN SCOTLAND".

How long does it take to visit Blair Castle? One itinerary said 1 hour when it is two hours at least, another gave 2 hours for Urqhuart Castle when it is 1 hour to 1 and a half.

Agents can do all the planning they like and send over a happy group, but that all falls by the wayside with a badly thought out itinerary.

Itinerary advice on Scotland is given freely if I am being hired to guide the tour otherwise a charge will be made.
